INSENSITIVITY

As I have grown older, a lot of people I looked up to have disappointed me in one way or the other, but that’s a story for another day. Today, we’ll be talking about a flaw that many people have, which is insensitivity. I believe insensitivity stems from another vice that is “TACTLESSNESS.” People who lack basic manners are almost always insensitive, and the train of bad habits continues growing to endless oblivion.

Most people are of the school of thought that the internet has brought out the bad in people, but I beg to differ. I believe all these people that hide behind their keypads have almost always been vile human beings.

The internet has only made it easier for people to get away with their insensitive jokes and comments. People now feel like they have a say in your marriage, family, how you train your kids, etc.

We (NIGERIANS) might praise ourselves that we have a low tolerance for rubbish, the truth is most of these vile people hide under this umbrella so they can say nonsense to the next person and the cycle continues. It is not as if we do not know we have to do better, but everyone wants to talk since there is freedom of speech, right?

This is an unfinished draft, and I can’t seem to get back into the zone that I was in when I started writing this.
